Individuals with a valid Military Identification Card and who are enrolled in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System are eligible for care at Winn. All patients must show a military ID card before receiving care.
However, the availability of care is based on TRICARE categories. The order of access is:
- Active-duty service members
- Active-duty family members enrolled in TRICARE Prime
- Retirees and their family members enrolled in TRICARE Prime
- Active-duty family members NOT enrolled in TRICARE Prime
All others:
National Guard soldiers and U.S. Army reservist are also eligible for treatment of injuries or illness incurred or aggravated while on 2-week annual training.
Civilians not identified as military family members may be treated at this facility only when determined by the attending physician to be a civilian emergency.
Under the occupational health program, Federal employees are authorized initial treatment, for illness or injury occurring during their work hours, regardless of whether the condition is work related.
