Building health with the AWC
the Army Wellness Center helps Soldiers, retirees, their families, and Army civilians build and sustain good health. It empowers them to set their own health goals and achieve them. It addresses lifestyle change in areas that affect both short- and long-term health, engaging people in their "lifespace" - the places where they live, work, relax and rest.
AWC & Army units
Improve unit readiness and support physical fitness standards by targeting the physical fitness and performance of Soldiers.
Help avoid overtraining and related injuries - the right amount of time exercising yields optimal results.
Reduce lost and limited-duty time due to injury.
AWC General Information
As the Army Wellness Center (AWC) is an appointment-based center, it is imperative that our customers and center staff establish a cooperative partnership to adhere to appointment times. AWC will make every effort to see our patients in a timely manner. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. We strongly encourage patients to arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time to allow for completion of inprocessing paperwork. Patients who arrive 5 minutes or more late may be asked to reschedule. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please call and reschedule. This will aid in timely client flow, decrease wait times, and allow other clients to book an appointment.
NO SHOW POLICY
In order to provide the highest accessibility to our patients, we request patients call to cancel appointments rather than "no show." Your unused, canceled appointment may be used for another client; units will be notified of beneficiaries who demonstrate a pattern of failing to cancel appointments in a timely manner.

Core programs offered at the AWC
Metabolic testing is available to assess daily caloric needs. The test measures what you burn and then calculates how you should eat. It is the key to knowing precisely what your body needs for effective weight management. Classes are offered to teach you how to eat to your metabolic rate.
The more you know the more you can navigate through unhealthy food choices. The Army Wellness Center provides course in basic nutrition, weight management, and eating to your metabolism.
Fitness testing and counseling are available at the Army Wellness Center. State of the art equipment is used to assess flexibility, muscular strength, cardio-respiratory fitness levels, and body composition. In conjunction with fitness testing, patients receive a comprehensive report that shows current fitness levels and education and individualized exercise counseling on how to meet their specific goals.
The Wellness Center has a state of the art massage chair available during hours of operation to all members of the community. The Wellness Center can introduce you to strategies, resources and techniques for effective stress management. Also, stress relief software is available to teach breathing and relaxation techniques using biofeedback.
